MyCap uses a configuration versioning system. When a participant opens their MyCap mobile app, it sends a request to the REDCap server to see if a new configuration version has been published. The mobile app updates itself as needed if a new version is found.

Changes you make to the MyCap configuration do not automatically trigger a new version. You must explicitly indicate that changes you have made should be published to the MyCap mobile app.

 MyCap Participant Management

Communicate with participants by sending a message to individual participants or an announcement to all participants. Select when participants receive daily notifications to complete tasks in the MyCap app.

Inbox

When you send a message, the participant will receive a push notification on his or her device saying "You have a secure message waiting." The participant can read the message after opening the MyCap Mobile App and navigating to the Messages tab. If the participant does not allow push notifications, he or she will still be able to read the message, but will not see the push notification indicating a new message is available.
